DIVING

All dive schools in the Maldives - whether they are on resort islands or aboard Safari/Cruise Boats - are of international standard. The professional service offered by these dive schools are further enhanced by the beautiful lagoons and the warm clear waters which provide the ideal environment for scuba diving.

PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors), SSI (Scuba Schools International), NAUI (National Association of Underwater Instructors) and CMAS (World Underwater Federation) training courses are offered at most dive centres. While some dive schools are Instructor Development Centers (IDCs), others offer a wide variety of courses, from beginners to advanced and specializeds.

Instructions are given in English and German; some resorts also offer instructions in Italian, French, Japanese and several other European languages.
